Dr. KrushnaChandra Pradhan

Krushnachandra was born on February 2, 1959, in the village of Kakharuni, near Alubha in Patamundai, Kendrapara district. His parents are Baluri Devi and Hrudananda Pradhan. He completed his postgraduate studies in Odia language and literature, and went on to earn M.Phil, Ph.D., and D.Litt degrees. Additionally, he holds a degree in education. After completing his academic pursuits, he began his professional career as a teacher. He is currently serving as a professor in the Department of Postgraduate Odia Language and Literature at Sambalpur University. Although he has contributed to various genres within Odia literature, he is best known among readers as an essayist and literary critic. His expertise lies in historical, comparative, and structural literary criticism, and he has a personal interest in the philosophical study of folklore. In 1990, his first published children's book, Ama Swasthyaraksha, Ama Kartavya marked the beginning of his literary journey in children's literature.
